Report every written argument of explicit Java new expressions with original node IDs, lexical construction and written argument ordinals, source spans, actual expression types and bounded source String evidence. An optional constructor pattern selects attributed matching targets. Zero-argument constructions supply no argument rows. Constructor signatures remain in the existing call-site table; written argument indices do not identify target formals. Does not change sources or evaluate runtime values.

Optional OpenRewrite constructor pattern matched only against actual constructor attribution. Omit to retain eligible explicit new expressions even when attribution is missing. When supplied, missing or unmatchable targets are omitted without a constructed-type text fallback.

Run this recipe

This recipe has no required configuration options. Users of Moderne can run it via the Moderne CLI.

You will need to have configured the Moderne CLI on your machine before you can run the following command.

RELEASE resolves to the newest release and LATEST to the newest build of any kind, including snapshots. Either one lets mod config recipes upgrade pull in later versions without editing this command; a pinned version stays where you put it.

Every written non-placeholder argument of eligible explicit Java new expressions, with original node IDs, source spans, expression types and bounded source String evidence. IDs require exact VCS/input and producer scope. No implicit enum constructor, constructor-reference, array-allocation or this/super delegation rows; no target-formal mapping.

Source path	Original Java source path.
Source set	Sole actual JavaSourceSet name, or null when missing or ambiguous; never inferred from a path.
Project ID	Sole actual JavaProject marker UUID, or null when missing or ambiguous. Original-model-local identity.
Project name	Sole actual JavaProject projectName, or null when missing or ambiguous. Descriptive evidence only.
Source set ID	Sole actual JavaSourceSet marker UUID, or null when missing or ambiguous. Source lookup also requires project ID and nonempty source-set name.
Source file ID	Actual original compilation-unit UUID. Joins require exact VCS/input, producer and source namespace.
New class ID	Actual original explicit J.NewClass UUID; never generated from source text or a constructor signature.
Argument ID	Actual original written argument-expression UUID, retaining every occurrence and repeated value.
New class index	Zero-based lexical ordinal by printed constructed-type-tree start among all eligible explicit new expressions in the compilation unit before filtering. Zero-argument constructions participate.
Argument index	Zero-based written non-J.Empty argument order, never a target formal ordinal. Arrays remain one argument and varargs are neither packed nor expanded.
Invocation start line	One-based original source line at the full new-expression start, including any enclosing qualifier and excluding prefix trivia.
Invocation start column	One-based UTF-16 column at the full new-expression start; tabs count as one character.
Invocation end line	One-based original source line at the exclusive full new-expression end, including any anonymous class body.
Invocation end column	One-based UTF-16 column at the exclusive full new-expression end.
Constructed type start line	One-based original source line at the printed constructed-type-tree start; this anchor determines the prefilter construction ordinal.
Constructed type start column	One-based UTF-16 column at the printed constructed-type-tree start, including qualified or parameterized type syntax.
Start line	One-based original source line at the written argument-expression start.
Start column	One-based UTF-16 column at the argument-expression start, excluding prefix whitespace/comments.

Resolution state	RESOLVED, UNRESOLVED, or UNSUPPORTED under the unchanged bounded source String evidence grammar and budgets.
Resolution reason	Stable reason code from the shared source String evaluator, retaining unsupported, unresolved and ambiguous scope reasons.
Resolved value	Complete JSON String or String array under the unchanged shared evaluator; SQL null on failure. No partial/truncated values or runtime evaluation.
Constant references	Ordered JSON source-field reference attempts and all candidate declarations from the shared evaluator, retaining repeats and transitive provenance.
